This is the privacy policy of Snijders B.V., located at Louis Pasteurstraat 8, 3261 LZ Oud-Beijerland, The Netherlands (“Snijders”).

This privacy policy explains why and how we process personal data of our customers, suppliers and visitors of our website, which personal data is processed and what rights you have when we process your personal data. We ensure that we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679.

We process the following personal data
You may provide us with various personal data, for example by visiting our website, calling us, filling in our contact form, submitting questions regarding our products or services or entering into a contract with us.

The personal data we process include:

  • Contact details (e.g. name, e-mail, telephone number and address);
  • Identification data generated while visiting and using our website (e.g. your IP address and your browser type and language);
  • When you enter into an agreement with us, we also register all necessary data related to the execution of the agreement (e.g. contact details) and payments (e.g. tax number, address, bank account number, payment date).

For what purpose do we process personal data and on which legal basis
We have a legitimate interest as a business to process your personal data in order to:

  • ensure the efficient and secure use of our website;
  • develop and improve our website;
  • maintain contact with you, reply to your enquiries, and;
  • provide information about our products and services;

We also process personal data when we have to execute the contract concluded between you and Snijders (e.g. deliver the products and services and inform you on its progress).

If we have received your consent to receive communications from us or we have entered into an agreement, we may use your contact details (name, e-mail, telephone number and address) for direct marketing. You will always be given the opportunity to object to receiving information or to withdraw your consent.

Lastly, we process personal data to comply with legal obligations applicable to us.

Transfer of personal data
Snijders may share your personal data with companies with whom Snijders works and who provide specific services to support our business activities (e.g. suppliers of IT and technical support services for systems used by Snijders, hosting, organisations engaged in the distribution and development of products and services from Snijders).

In principle, your personal data will not be transferred to recipients in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). If personal data are transferred to a recipient in a country that does not offer suitable protection for personal data, then we will ensure that the legally required guarantees are implemented.

Retention of personal information
Your personal data will be kept as long as necessary to fully fulfil the purpose of the storage, such as the delivery of the products and services ordered by you.

If the purpose of storage no longer applies, or if a storage period prescribed by the European legislator or other competent legislator expires, personal data will be routinely deleted in accordance with legal requirements.

Your rights in relation to your personal data
On request Snijders will explain which data it has collected and processed about you (the right of access to personal data). You can also ask Snijders to update, correct, block or remove any data that Snijders has collected about you, e.g. if the data is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant (the right to rectification and erasure). Furthermore, you have the right to ask Snijders to restrict the processing of your personal data and invoke your rights to data portability, as well as to objecting to the processing of your personal data by Snijders.

Lastly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority about the way Snijders processes your personal data.

Security of personal information
All appropriate technical and organisational measures have been implemented by Snijders in order to protect your personal data against any accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss or alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access, and any other unlawful forms of processing, e.g. security software, SSL certificates, secure internet connection and internal privacy policies.

Furthermore, only those employees who require access to such information in order to process it on our behalf and who are contractually required to keep your personal data secure and confidential will have access to it.
